QR Codes 101
Have you ever seen one of these codes in a magazine, on a postcard or in a storefront?  Wonder what they are and/or what they do?  They're two-dimensional bar codes called QR codes (which is short for Quick Response codes) that are able to share large amounts of data.  QR codes are growing rapidly, and for good reason.  People want immediate access to products and services that pique their interest and QR codes make that possible.

When a QR code is scanned or read with a camera-eqipped smartphone, the user can be linked to content on the internet; trigger a function of the phone such as e-mail or text messaging: and connect to the smartphone's web browser.
